Egypt has abundant limestone resources and booming infrastructure construction, which has a huge demand for high-quality machine-made sand. A 350TPH limestone sand making line in Egypt has been put into operation stably, using local limestone as raw material to produce high-quality machine-made sand, solving the problem of natural sand shortage.
### Project Overview
Project Location: Cairo, Egypt
Processing Material: Limestone (CaO content ≥52%, low mud content, Mohs hardness 3-4)
Production Capacity: 350TPH (daily output 8,400 tons, annual output 2.52 million tons)
Finished Products: 0-5mm machine-made sand (for commercial concrete, high-rise buildings and road construction)
Process Flow: Primary crushing → secondary shaping → screening → washing → drying

### Equipment Configuration & Process Advantages
The production line adopts a "primary crushing + secondary shaping + screening + washing + drying" process to ensure the quality of machine-made sand. Primary crushing uses a large jaw crusher to crush large limestone blocks (≤500mm) into ≤50mm particles. Secondary shaping uses an impact sand making machine, adopting the rock-on-rock crushing principle to make the finished product particle shape cubic and uniform.
The screening stage uses 4 sets of 2-layer vibrating screens to separate qualified machine-made sand and unqualified materials (return to shaping for reprocessing). The washing stage uses a spiral sand washing machine to remove dust and fine mud, ensuring the mud content of finished sand is ≤1%. The drying stage uses a rotary dryer to reduce the moisture content of machine-made sand to ≤5%, avoiding caking during storage and transportation.
The whole line is equipped with a fully enclosed workshop and pulse dust collectors, meeting Egypt's environmental protection standards. The intelligent control system realizes automatic operation and real-time monitoring, reducing labor costs by 60%.
### Operation Effect
Since commissioning, the production line has operated stably with a failure rate of ≤1.2%. The machine-made sand has stable quality, fineness modulus of 2.7-3.0, and compressive strength ≥30MPa, which fully meets Egypt's commercial concrete standard. The project has an annual output value of about 2.2 million US dollars, and the investment return cycle is 1.6 years.
