Against the background of strict environmental protection standards and intelligent production requirements in European countries, a 500TPH limestone EPC turnkey project in Athens, Greece, has become a benchmark project for European green and intelligent aggregate production. The project mainly produces 0-5mm machine-made sand and 5-31.5mm aggregate, which is used for local highway construction and commercial concrete production.
### Project Overview
Project Location: Athens, Greece
Processing Material: Limestone (CaO content ≥51%, SiO2 content low, low mud content, no need for mud removal treatment)
Production Capacity: 500TPH (annual output 3000000 tons)
Finished Products: 0-5mm machine-made sand (fine sand), 5-10mm fine aggregate, 10-20mm medium aggregate, 20-31.5mm coarse aggregate
Core Equipment: 2 sets of jaw crushers, 4 sets of large impact crushers, 7 sets of vibrating screens, 1 set of aggregate optimization system, 26 sets of pulse dust collectors
Service Scope: Full EPC general contracting (scheme design, civil engineering design, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, worker training, after-sales maintenance for 1 year)

### Core Process Design & Technical Innovations
The project adopts the "two-stage crushing + two-stage screening + aggregate optimization" process, realizing the integration of efficiency, environmental protection and intelligence. Primary crushing uses 2 sets of jaw crushers for coarse crushing, with a maximum feeding size of 500mm, and the optimized eccentric shaft design increases crushing efficiency by 15% compared with traditional jaw crushers. Secondary crushing uses 4 sets of large impact crushers for medium and fine crushing, realizing material shaping while crushing, with needle flake content <5%, meeting European aggregate quality standards (EN 12620).
7 sets of high-efficiency vibrating screens are used for multi-stage screening to separate 4 types of finished products, and the aggregate optimization system converts stone powder into high-quality machine-made sand with mud content <3%, increasing the added value of products by 20% and the resource utilization rate to 95%. The whole line is equipped with an intelligent DCS industrial control system, realizing one-key start and stop, real-time monitoring of 200+ operation parameters, and automatic generation of maintenance plans, reducing the shutdown rate by 40%.
### Environmental Protection Technology & Compliance
In line with the strict environmental protection standards of the European Union (dust emission ≤10mg/m³, noise ≤75dB), the project has adopted a number of environmental protection technologies: 26 sets of pulse dust collectors are installed at all dust-generating points, and the whole production line is equipped with a fully enclosed workshop, ensuring dust emission concentration ≤8mg/m³; the equipment is equipped with noise reduction covers, and the workshop is laid with sound insulation materials to reduce noise to ≤70dB; 3 sedimentation tanks are built to realize 100% recycling of production water, saving 300,000 tons of water annually.

### Project Operation Results
Since its commissioning in 2025, the project has achieved remarkable economic and environmental benefits: the annual output value reaches 20 million euros, the resource utilization rate increases by 25%, and the additional output value is 5 million euros; the EPC mode shortens the construction period by 3 months, saving 300,000 euros in construction costs. It has passed the EU green mine certification, and the dust emission and noise pollution have been effectively controlled, becoming a model project for green aggregate production in Greece.
