1. The heating of the bearing. The bearing of the jaw crusher is usually cast with a specific alloy bearing bushing and needs to work below 100°C. Once overheated, the machine must be stopped immediately for investigation. There are two ways to check the bearing temperature: if the bearing is equipped with a thermometer, read the data directly; if there is no thermometer, touch the shell with the back of your hand. If the heat is unbearable and lasts no more than 5 seconds, the temperature may have exceeded 60°C and needs to be handled in time. Ensuring that the bearing operates within a safe temperature range is the key to maintaining the normal operation of the jaw crusher.
2. Check the lubrication system. The purpose of checking the lubrication system is to confirm whether it is operating normally, which is crucial to the production efficiency and life of the jaw crusher. If the lubrication system fails, it must be handled immediately. The inspection includes: listening to the gear oil pump for knocking sounds, observing the oil pressure indication, and checking the oil tank oil level and lubrication system for oil leakage. Once the oil level is found to be insufficient, it should be replenished immediately. Through careful inspection and maintenance, ensure that the lubrication system is in the best condition to ensure the stable operation of the equipment and extend its service life.
3. Check the oil quality of the return oil pipe. If it contains metal fines and other dirt, stop the machine immediately and check the lubrication parts such as bearings. At the same time, check whether the bolts, flywheel keys and other connectors of the jaw crusher are loose. If they are loose, they must be handled in time to ensure the safe operation of the equipment and prevent failures.
4. Check the wear of the jaw plate and transmission parts, whether the pull rod spring has cracks, whether it works normally, and regularly use gasoline to clean the filter of the jaw crusher lubricating oil. After cleaning, it must be completely dried before it can be used again;
5. Always keep the jaw crusher clean, so that there is no dust accumulation, no oil pollution, no oil leakage, no water leakage, no electricity leakage, and no dust leakage. In particular, pay attention to dust and other debris not entering the lubrication system and lubrication parts, because on the one hand, they destroy the lubricating oil film, thereby causing the jaw crushing equipment to lose lubrication and increase wear. In addition, dust and other debris are themselves a kind of abrasive, which will accelerate the wear of the equipment and shorten the life of the equipment after entering;
6. Regularly replace the lubricating oil in the jaw crusher oil tank, which can be replaced every six months. This is because the lubricating oil is exposed to air (oxygen) and heat (the oxidation rate doubles when the temperature increases by 10°C) during use, and the infiltration of dust, moisture or fuel and other reasons causes it to age and deteriorate, causing the oil to lose its lubricity.
