1. Different structure

As secondary crushing equipment, the obvious difference between impact crusher and cone crusher is reflected in the crushing principle and appearance structure. The impact crusher uses impact force to crush materials, and its appearance structure is relatively simple; while the cone crusher achieves crushing through extrusion force, and its appearance structure is more complex, and the two are easy to distinguish.

2. Different working principles

The impact crusher uses the impact principle, and the material is repeatedly impacted between the plate hammer and the impact plate to crush; the cone crusher combines extrusion, shearing, and grinding methods, and continuously moves from the mortar wall to the crushing wall, squeezing the material to crush it. The two have different crushing methods, and their principles and effects are unique, so they are easy to distinguish.

3. Different scope of application

Both impact crusher and cone crusher can be used as secondary crushing equipment, but the hardness of the materials they crush is different. Cone crushers mainly crush materials with higher hardness, such as granite, basalt, tuff, river pebbles, etc. Impact crushers are used to crush materials with lower hardness and brittleness, such as limestone, limestone, etc.

7. Different input costs

The price of cone crusher is more expensive than that of impact crusher, but its wearing parts have a longer life, which avoids the trouble of frequent replacement of parts. From a long-term perspective, cone crusher is more cost-effective than impact crusher. The initial purchase cost of impact crusher is low, and the later maintenance cost is high; the initial cost of cone crusher is high, and the later investment cost is low.

The noise pollution and dust pollution of impact crusher are large, while the pollution of cone crusher is small.
