On July 19th, construction officially began on the Lower Yarlung Zangbo River Hydropower Project. Building a Dam in a Gorge, Shuangjiangkou Sets a New Benchmark for Global Hydropower

Amid the towering mountains of the western Sichuan Plateau, the Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station will stand majestically as the "world's tallest dam." This massive water conservancy project, spanning Ma'erkang and Jinchuan counties, is a key reservoir and power station in the mainstream of the Dadu River Basin, carrying the dual missions of a key project in the country's 14th Five-Year Plan and the Western Development Strategy.

Faced with the extreme construction environment of high altitude, high slopes, high-order geostress, high water head, and deep foundation pits, Shibang Group leveraged the Smart Dam Collaborative Command Platform to integrate high-quality sand and gravel aggregate into every cubic meter of dam fill, providing a solid material guarantee for the project's progress. This 1,000-ton-per-hour sand and gravel production line has been operating smoothly for six years, running 20 hours daily, continuously delivering manufactured sand for the construction of the Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station. Today, this world-class tall dam is steadily rising, empowered by technology.

Swords of the Canyon: Lianghekou forges a new energy hub in Southwest China

Located on the mainstream of the Yalong River, the Lianghekou Hydropower Station, known as "China's largest hybrid pumped-storage project," is the first of six major hydropower bases in Southwest my country to enter operation.

Shanghai Shibang Group's technological prowess is fully demonstrated in this mega-project, which combines "the world's largest high-slope complex" with "China's highest flood discharge head." To ensure the quality of the 43 million cubic meter dam fill, the Shibang VSI6X vertical shaft impact crusher, with its high performance, advanced configuration, and high stability, and a stable production capacity of 600 tons per hour, became the "iron backbone" of the dam's strength.
