The VSI sand-making machine is a piece of equipment designed for the production of construction sand. It is widely utilized in sectors such as highways, high-speed railways, high-rise buildings, and concrete mixing plants, providing these fields with high-quality sand and aggregate materials. It serves as a pivotal component in the realms of artificial sand production and stone shaping; it is frequently integrated with other machinery—such as sand washers, crushers, vibrating screens, and vibrating feeders—to form a complete sand-making production line, thereby achieving more economical and efficient production.

The VSI sand-making machine features a unique structure and composition. Through years of research and refinement—and by incorporating advanced technological standards—it offers both convenient operation and high efficiency. During operation, the following procedures and precautions must be strictly observed:

Before starting the machine, verify that the observation door on the vortex chamber is securely fastened to prevent materials from being ejected through the opening, which could pose a safety hazard.
Check the direction of the impeller's rotation; it should rotate in a counter-clockwise direction. If necessary, adjust the motor wiring accordingly.
The startup sequence is as follows: Discharge Equipment → Crusher → Feeder. The shutdown sequence is the reverse of the startup sequence.
The crusher must be started under a no-load condition (empty). Feeding of materials should commence only after the machine has reached normal operating speed.
When stopping the discharge equipment, immediately halt the feeding of materials to prevent the impeller from becoming jammed or the motor from overheating and burning out.
Material feeding should be kept as continuous and uniform as possible.
During crusher operation, there should be no violent vibrations or abnormal noises; if such conditions occur, stop the machine immediately to conduct an inspection.
This equipment utilizes a dry-grease lubrication system. Use high-grade automotive-standard grease, filling the bearing cavity to between 1/2 and 2/3 of its total capacity. After every work shift, replenish the grease with an appropriate amount; periodically—after a certain number of shifts—open the main bearing assembly to clean and replace the grease.
The VSI sand-making machine represents a new generation of sand-making equipment, offering approximately 50% greater energy efficiency compared to traditional sand-making machines. It is capable of processing various types of rock, gravel, and river pebbles into construction-grade sand that meets diverse particle size specifications. The resulting sand features uniform grain size and high compressive strength, making it far superior to natural sand or sand produced by ordinary hammer-mill crushers; it better satisfies modern construction requirements and contributes to improved building quality. This equipment is characterized by its reliable performance, rational design, ease of operation, and high operational efficiency. The operating principle of the VSI sand-making machine relies on the high-speed rotation of materials to induce mutual impact and friction, thereby achieving a "stone-on-stone" crushing effect. When feeding the machine, materials must be introduced in strict accordance with the particle size specifications outlined in the machine's technical performance parameters. It is strictly prohibited to feed materials exceeding the specified maximum particle size into the crusher. The maximum moisture content of the feed material should be controlled at 20% or less; typically, ores that have undergone processing by a sand washer can be fed directly into the crusher for processing.
Compared to traditional processing equipment of equivalent scale, the VSI sand-making machine offers lower investment costs—reduced by approximately 35% to 50%. Its production efficiency also surpasses that of traditional equipment of comparable scale, showing an improvement of approximately 35% to 50% (for instance, when processing limestone, over 90% of the primary output consists of finished particles ≤ 5 mm; when processing river pebbles, this figure exceeds 80%). Furthermore, the long-term operating and maintenance costs associated with the VSI sand-making machine are also lower, reduced by approximately 35% to 50%. Due to its exceptional performance and competitive pricing, the VSI sand-making machine is widely utilized across various industries, including manufactured sand and aggregates, cement production, refractory materials, and metallurgy.
