What are the industrial types of iron ore
Iron ore is an important industrial raw material and is widely used in metallurgy, construction, manufacturing and other fields. According to its usage and characteristics, iron ore can be divided into different industrial types. Some common industrial types of iron ore are introduced below.
Ore types are classified according to different industrial ore beneficiation methods and processes.
In the enterprise economy, depending on the balance between input and output, the ore that can be used industrially is called basic reserve ore, including iron ore for steel making, iron ore for iron making and ore to be selected.
The ore that cannot be used in industry is called resource ore.
The industrial type of iron ore is generally named after a certain iron-bearing mineral that contains more than 85% of the total iron in iron ore.
For magnetite, hematite ore using magnetic iron (MFe) accounted for the occupancy of total iron (TFe) to be divided: MFe/TFe ≥ 85% magnetite, MFe/TFe ≤ 85% ~ 15% magnetite - hematite (rhodochrosite) iron mixed ore, MFe/TFe ≤ 15% hematite. According to our mine production experience, single weak magnetic separation of iron ore MFe/TFe>65%, other process separation of iron ore MFe/TFe<65%.
According to the selection and metallurgy requirements, the iron ore is divided into the following types.
(1) According to the composition and nature of iron ore is divided into magnetite, hematite, limonite, limonite and mixed ore.
(2) According to the iron ore iron and impurity content is divided into steel-rich ore, iron-rich ore, general rich ore and poor ore.
(3) According to the degree of iron ore oxidation is divided into primary ore, oxidized ore and mixed ore, TFe/FeO<2.7 for primary ore (magnetite, easy to select), TFe/FeO>3.5 for oxidized ore (hematite, difficult to select), TFe/FeO=2.7~3.5 for mixed ore.
(4) According to the content of iron ore slagging components are divided into acidic ore, self-fusing ore, semi-fusing ore and alkaline ore:.
(5) According to the content of other components of iron ore is divided into: high sulfur ore, high phosphorus ore, phosphorus-rich ore
Alkaline ore, high copper ore, copper-rich ore, high zinc ore, high arsenic ore, selective ore (Cr>2%), high tin ore (Sn>0.08%), high drill ore (Co>0.03%), high lead ore, iron-vanadium-titanium-iron ore (TiO, >5%).
