Crushing screening process according to its number of segments, there are one and more than two categories. A process is mostly used in the use of self-grinding mill concentrator, mostly open circuit operation. The final crushing product particle size is 350 ~ 0mm or 250 ~ 0mm. The multi-stage process usually forms a closed circuit with the screening equipment in the last fine crushing operation.

Crushing equipment is divided into coarse crushing, medium crushing and fine crushing crusher according to the different particle size of crushing products. Coarse crushing commonly used jaw crusher and gyratory crusher, drawing granularity, open-pit mining ore is 1000 ~ 0mm, underground mining ore is 600 ~ 0mm. Medium crushing commonly used standard cone crusher. Feed particle size is generally 350 ~ 0mm. Fine crushing commonly used short cone crusher, feeding particle size is generally 75-0mm.

At present, the crushing and fine crushing in most concentrators are changed to HP type or H type cone crusher, which increases the crushing output and reduces the particle size of crushing products. Generally in 15 ( 12 ) ~ 0mm, to achieve more broken less grinding, energy saving purposes.
