Chalk is a type of limestone, the main component is calcium carbonate CaCO3, CaO 56.03%, CO2 43.97%. It often contains manganese and iron. Its external characteristics can be identified by its hardness, diamond-shaped solution, light color, glassy luster, and the properties of cold dilute HCl acid can be immediately super bubble. It is very similar to dolomite and is symbiotic.
Chalk is distributed in the main producing areas such as Essex County, New York, USA and Jiangxi Province, China. Distributed in different areas, its name is also different, some areas are called big white.
Chalk use
1、Plastics: PVC profiles, pipes; wire, cable outer skin rubber particles and so on.
2、Rubber: natural rubber, nitrile, butadiene, mixed rubber, etc. It is suitable for tires, hoses, adhesive tapes, and oil seals, auto parts and other rubber products.
3、Sealing adhesive materials: silicone, poly flow, polyurethane, epoxy and other sealing structural adhesive.
4、Paint: water-based paint and oil-based paint.
5、Paper making: cigarette paper, recording paper, booklet printing paper, high whiteness coated paper, and sanitary napkins, diapers and so on.
Chalk grinding process
Chalk materials need to be crushed and screened before grinding process. (Crushing requires jaw crusher, cone crusher, etc.; screening requires circular vibrating screen, linear vibrating screen)
The crushed chalk material is evenly put into the Raymond mill for grinding, at this time, the grinding roller of the equipment swings outward and presses on the grinding ring, the shovel knife shovels up the white ash to be sent between the grinding roller and the grinding ring, and because of the rolling of the grinding roller to achieve the purpose of crushing the chalk powder with the fineness through the pipe into the large cyclone collector, separation and collection, and then discharged through the outlet pipe that is, the finished product of the chalk powder.
