Molybdenum is a metal element that was discovered relatively recently. Molybdenum metal has the advantages of a high melting point, high strength, good corrosion resistance and good resistance to abrasion. With endogenous ores, molybdenite combines mainly with sulphur to produce pyromolybdenite. Pyromolybdenite is mostly lead-grey in colour, more similar to graphite, with a metallic luster, and is the most widely distributed molybdenum-bearing mineral in nature. Pyromolybdenite is mainly used in industry for the production of molybdenum-iron alloy, molybdenum metal and calcium molybdate.

Molybdenum ore beneficiation process related equipment includes feeding equipment, jaw crusher, ball mill, spiral classifier, flotation machine, dryer and so on, among which flotation machine is a very important intermediate link equipment. First of all, the material is crushed roughly by jaw crusher, then crushed finely by fine jaw crusher, the qualified material enters into ball mill for grinding, and the fine material qualified by grinding enters into spiral classifier to wash and classify the material, and then separates the required material from other material by flotation, and finally removes the water in the concentrate by thickener.
