In the process of artificial sand production, the production equipment and processing processes of different materials are different, but the general production process is the same, generally divided into five stages: pretreatment-crushing-sand making-screening-sand washing (powder selection).

The first stage: pretreatment

Pretreatment is to sort the raw materials in advance. If the raw materials contain excessive soil, impurities, etc., it will damage the quality of artificial sand. Therefore, before implementing the crushing process, it is necessary to sort out the debris that is not suitable for crushing. This can not only improve the crushing efficiency, but also effectively guarantee the quality of artificial sand.

The second stage: crushing

The crushing stage covers the coarse crushing and medium and fine crushing production processes. It often uses a combination of jaw crusher with cone crusher or impact crusher. The equipment selection depends on the nature of the material. At the same time, auxiliary equipment such as feeders and vibrating screens are equipped to ensure smooth production. After this stage, the fine crushed stone can reach the feeding standard of the sand making machine, laying the foundation for sand making.

The third stage: sand making

The crushed material is transported to the sand making machine through a belt conveyor for shaping and sand making. The sand particle size after being processed by the sand making machine is more uniform.

The fourth stage: screening

After completing the sand making process, the material is sent to the vibrating screen for screening through the conveyor belt. According to user needs, the finished sand can be processed by the vibrating screen and can be screened and classified into coarse sand, medium sand and fine sand.

The fifth stage: sand washing (powder selection)

In order to reduce the stone powder content of the machine-made sand and improve the quality of the finished sand, the finished sand can be washed by a sand washing machine after screening (powder selection machines are often used in areas with water shortages to process the stone powder in the machine-made sand). After washing (powder selection), the machine-made sand is sent to the finished material pile.
