Recently, Anhui Tongcheng ushered in a landmark over 10 billion level sand and gravel project opening ceremony. The project was won by Anqing Qingyuan Mineral Resources Development Co., Ltd. (a state-owned enterprise) for 1.295 billion yuan, with a total investment of 3.23 billion yuan. It is expected to be completed and put into production at the end of 2024, providing stable sand and gravel resource support for the local area and even the surrounding areas.

It is understood that the mining area of the project is about 1.2 square kilometers, the recoverable resources are about 250 million tons, the annual production scale reaches 9.8 million tons, and the mine operation period is as long as 27 years. The contractor of this huge project is China Railway 23rd Bureau Group (leader of the consortium), and the winning bid amount is as high as 13.202 billion yuan. The project will cover a number of projects such as green mine construction, flood control and drainage, ore processing system, external transportation roads, etc., aiming to achieve efficient utilization of mineral resources and harmonious coexistence with the environment.
