I. Project Overview. This project is large-scale, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons. The processed material is iron ore with an iron content in the raw material of up to 55%. Strict control of the particle size distribution is required for the finished product.
I. Project Overview
This project is large-scale, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons. The processed material is iron ore with an ore content of up to 55%. The finished product requires strict particle size control, with a size of less than 8 mm. The equipment configuration uses a mobile crushing plant (NK150-4 + NK300HS), and the raw material comes from the company's own underground mine. The finished product is mainly used for grinding.

II. Problems and Solutions in Process Design

This project faced many challenges during the process design phase. Firstly, the work site is located in a high-altitude area at 3200 meters above sea level; secondly, the finished product requires an extremely fine particle size, reaching -8 mm; finally, the mined material contains a certain amount of finished product, and the finished product storage area must accommodate a volume sufficient for at least one day's operation.
To address these challenges, the SBM team formed a joint working group consisting of personnel from the engineering, research and development, and manufacturing departments. Through optimizing the frame design, increasing the size of the hopper and vibrating screen, using high-performance cone crushers, and replacing high-altitude motors and electrical cabinets, they successfully solved these problems. Ultimately, the SBM NK150-4 and NK300HS mobile crushing plants successfully provided a three-stage operation with two closed circuits. Compared to other brands that require at least three machines to perform the same process configuration, this effectively reduced equipment investment and operating costs.
The successful application of the SBM Group's combined mobile crushing plant at the iron ore mine in Xinjiang not only demonstrates the high quality of the equipment and the team's extensive experience, but also makes a positive contribution to the development of China's western border regions. In the future, SBM Group will continue to adhere to the spirit of innovation and pragmatism, working hand in hand with more customers to create even more high-quality projects throughout China!
