This project is large-scale, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons. The processed material is iron ore, with a raw ore grade as high as 55%. The finished product requires strict particle size control, needing to be less than 8mm. The equipment configuration utilizes an NK mobile crushing plant (NK150-4 + NK300HS), with raw materials sourced from the company's own underground mine. The finished product is primarily used for grinding.

II. Process Design Challenges and Solutions

This project faced multiple challenges in the process design phase. First, the operating environment is located in a high-altitude region at 3200 meters above sea level; second, the finished product requires extremely fine particle size, reaching -8mm; finally, the mined material contains some finished product, and the finished product stockpile needs to accommodate at least one day's worth of operation.
To address these challenges, SBM Group established a joint task force composed of engineering, R&D, and production departments. Through optimizing the frame design, increasing the size of the hopper and vibrating screen, configuring high-performance cone crushers, and replacing high-altitude motors and electrical cabinets, they successfully solved these problems. Ultimately, the SBM NK150-4 and NK300HS mobile crushing plants successfully achieved a three-stage, two-closed-circuit operation. Compared to other brands that require at least three machines to complete the same process configuration, this effectively reduced equipment investment and operating costs.
The successful application of SBM Group's combined mobile crushing plant at the Xinjiang iron ore site not only demonstrates its high-quality equipment performance and extensive team experience but also makes a positive contribution to the development of China's western border regions.
