Main uses of aluminium sulfate
1, paper industry as rosin glue, wax emulsion and other rubber precipitant, water treatment as flocculating agent, but also for foam fire extinguishers within the retention of the agent, the manufacture of alum, aluminium white raw materials, petroleum decolouring, deodorants, raw materials for certain drugs, and so on;
2、It is used as paper sizing agent in papermaking industry to enhance the water resistance and seepage resistance of paper;
3, used as turbid water purifier, also used as precipitant, colour-fixing agent, filler and so on. Used as raw material for sweat-suppressing cosmetics (astringent) in cosmetics;
4, fire industry, and baking soda, foaming agent composition foam fire extinguishing agent; can be used as raw materials for the manufacture of artificial gemstones and ammonium alum, other aluminates;
5、Fuel industry, in the production of chrome yellow and colour precipitation dyes as a precipitant, but also play a role in fixing the colour and filler.
Aluminium sulphate is white crystal, easy to absorb moisture and agglomerate when stored in the air for a long time; easily soluble in water, aqueous solution becomes acidic, difficult to tolerate in alcohol.
Aluminium sulphate beneficiation process
First of all, the large pieces of aluminium sulphate should be roughly crushed and finely crushed by jaw crusher and fine crusher, and then it is fed into ball mill through vibrating feeder, and then it needs to be classified by classifier, and then it is screened by vibrating screen for minerals, and then it is processed by shaking table to deal with the fine grain size of aluminium sulphate. Then the aluminium sulphate can be processed by flotation machine. The discharged aluminium sulphate is the finished product.
