Comprehensive performance of steel sand
1、Chemical becoming: it is made of carbon: 0.8%-1.2%, manganese: 0.35%-1.2%, silicon: ≥0.4%, sulfur, phosphorus: ≤0.05%.
Specification grade: G240~G005. density ≥7.0g/cm3; total defects ≤40%; foreign impurities ≤1%; water content ≤0.2%.
Microhardness: 390HV-530HV; 470HV-610HV; 570HV-710HV; ≥700HV.
3、Metallographic organisation: tempered martensite or tempered quartz.
The main use of steel sand
1、As a metallurgical deoxidiser and high temperature resistant material; it can also be used for polishing and grinding of hardware, glass, gemstone, jade and so on.
2、Applied in refractories, abrasives, chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials and so on.
3、As an abrasive, it can be used to make abrasives, such as grinding wheel, oil stone, grinding head, sand tile class, etc.; it can also be used to make semiconductor and manufacture silicon carbide fibre.
Steel grit processing procedures
The heated and quenched scrap steel material is put into the jaw crusher for crushing to obtain the semi-finished products of steel grit; the semi-finished products of steel grit are screened and classified, that is to say, the finished products of steel grit are produced. The steel sand production method of the present invention reduces the melting and shot-making process of the scrap steel material which must be cast into steel shot first in the traditional steel sand production process, and greatly saves the production cost.
Another processing procedure is that the heated and quenched scrap steel material is put into the jaw crusher for crushing to obtain steel sand semi-finished products; the steel sand semi-finished products are screened and classified, and then processed by the sand making machine again, and the products obtained, that is, the finished steel sand is produced.
